III. Student Achievements
- We are thrilled to highlight the incredible achievements of our dedicated students who will be competing in the upcoming AAU and USAT Nationals in Florida next week. A total of 18 of our exceptional athletes have displayed unwavering commitment, practicing six days a week, and even pushing themselves with double sessions on certain days. They have gone above and beyond, traveling across the Houston area to collaborate with different schools, ensuring they are fully prepared for this prestigious event. We are immensely proud of their hard work, perseverance, and the spirit of sportsmanship they bring to represent our taekwondo school. Best of luck to our talented competitors as they embark on this exciting journey!
IV. Training Tips
- Use a mirror to monitor and improve technique. Utilizing a mirror is an invaluable tool for monitoring and enhancing technique in taekwondo. By positioning yourself in front of a mirror during practice, you gain visual feedback that allows you to observe and analyze your form, stance, and execution of various techniques. This self-reflection enables you to make real-time adjustments, correct errors, and refine your movements, ultimately leading to improved precision, balance, and overall performance. Incorporating mirror work into your training regimen empowers you to fine-tune your technique and reach new levels of mastery in taekwondo.
V. School Announcements
- If you know anyone interested in an after-school or summer activity, spread the word about our 2-week trial for $39 or send them a link HERE.
- We kindly remind all parents that sparring gear is essential for their children’s active participation in taekwondo classes. Sparring gear provides crucial protection and ensures a safe and engaging training environment. Moreover, as your child progresses towards their black belt, it’s important to note that sparring gear will be required for the sparring portion of their black belt test. If your child does not have the necessary gear yet, we recommend purchasing it to support their continued advancement and participation in these important aspects of their taekwondo journey. You can purchase your gear HERE.
VII. Community Outreach
- We are looking to do an Canned Food Drive & Toys 4 Tots later in the year. If you have experience or would like to help coordinate, let me know.
