5 stars all the way! Yesterday was belt testing for my 5 years old and their patience and dedication towards the little kids are very much appreciated. My son is very active and hyper as all the little boys his age but Master Davis and all the others in class can make him sit down and listen for at least 30 mins. I definitely recommend this place as an after class activity.

My son has been taking classes here for over a year. Mr. Davis is great. He not only cares about how the kids are doing in class but how they are doing at home and school as well. The kids respect and look up to him. He knows how to be strict and get the kids to focus without yelling, embarrassing, or making anyone uncomfortable. He makes sure the kids believe in themselves and their abilities. I would definitely recommend HCT Pearland.

Mr.Davis and his team are awesome! If you have never seen his interactions with his toddler students, it is truly an experience. Mr.Davis has mastered the talent of implementing discipline and making it fun for the kids without compromising his teachings. He is extremely patient and provides a healthy balance of working with the new and veteran students both individually and as a group. My 5-year-old only attends twice a week but continues to ask every day if she will be attending Taekwondo today. I also like that they send out weekly updates on what’s to come the following week. I don’t normally offer reviews or recommendations based solely on my experiences alone, but I would highly recommend this school to any parent that has thought about putting their kid in martial arts.

Master Frankie is a very caring and patient instructor, both of my daughters enjoy his class. With the fun and great techniques, taking the classes also help my kids to stay healthy, focus, respectful and most of all boost their confidence. My 2 girls (11 & 7) absolutely love coming here. I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing their TaeKwonDo skills improve with each class they attend. When I’ve had a rough week, this place will always put a smile on my face. I love seeing each student’s growth. Master Davis is hands-on, controls the class, knows each student by name, and the kids love him. The kids are putting in work every minute while there. It is definitely worth every penny. This location has exceeded all of my expectations.

Frankie is awesone teacher, I have my son since they opened the school and it has served him so much, now he is strong and I am sure he will now know how to defend himself from anything. Important Schedule Update – Exciting News!

Dear Parents,

We hope this message finds you well. We have some exciting news to share regarding the recent changes you may have seen going on in our school. Starting January 4, 2024, we are launching our brand new Afterschool program! We believe this program will bring tremendous value to our school and the students we serve. Below, we’ve highlighted the changes that will come from the new addition in regards to our class schedule, which will take effect November 27, 2023:

With this new addition of the afterschool program we have also made changes to our school curriculum and belt structure. These changes are designed to enhance the experience for our students and streamline our offerings.

 

Belt Structure Update:
  • Belt Structure Changes: The Sr. Blue Belt is being retired, which will lead to adjustments in our belt structure:
    • Beginner Classes: These classes will now include students with white, yellow, orange, and green belts. This change will ensure that students at these belt levels can train together effectively.
    • Advanced Classes: The advanced classes will now encompass students with purple, blue, brown, and red belts. This adjustment will allow advanced students to progress together and take their skills to the next level.
  • Groups for kids classes will only be beginner and advanced. There will no longer be an intermediate group (except for when talking about sparring).

Class Schedule Update:
  • Schedule Changes: Tot’s Class: Ages 4 – 6 years
    • Beginning Monday, November 27, 2023, we will have one Tot’s Class time slot, which is Monday – Thursday at 4 PM.
    • The Tuesday and Thursday 5:15 PM class will be discontinued to provide a more streamlined schedule.
  • Kids classes will now begin at 5:30 PM not right after Tot’s classes.
  • Leadership Team will change to Tuesday/Thursday.
  • Black Belt Class will be reduced to 30 min.
Why These Changes are Great for Our School:
  • Enhanced Focus: By consolidating the Tot’s Class time slot, we can offer even more focused and personalized instruction to our young martial artists while continuing to provide all our specialty classes.
  • Efficiency: Streamlining our belt structure will create a more structured classroom, streamline our curriculum, and enable us to do more with less in terms of the classes we offer, as students are grouped according to similar belt levels.
  • Progression: Students will be able to advance through the ranks more smoothly and with a deeper understanding of their curriculum.
New Schedule:

 

Core Classes

Afterschool Program: Classes Mon through Fri at 3:30 PM – 6 PM

Tot’s Class: Ages 4 – 6 years:

  • Classes on Mon through Thur at 4 PM

Beginners Class: Ages 6 – 12 years (White, Orange, Yellow, Green)

  • Classes on Mon and Wed at 6:15 PM
  • Classes on Tue and Thur at 5:30 PM

Advanced Class: Ages 6 – 12 years (Purple, Blue, Brown, Red)

  • Classes on Mon and Wed at 5:30 PM
  • Classes on Tue and Thur at 6:15 PM

Teen/Adult Class: Ages 13 + years (All Belt Colors)

  • Classes on Tue and Thur at 7:30 PM
  • Saturday class at 9 AM

Specialty Classes

Leadership Team: Ages 6 + years

  • Classes on Tue and Thur at 5 PM

Black Belt Class: Poom & Black belts

  • Classes on Tue and Thur at 7 PM

Kids Sparring: Ages 6 + years (All Belt Colors)

  • Class on Friday at 5:30 PM

Competition Team: Ages 4 + years (All Belt Colors)

  • Team A, B & C Mon at 7 PM
  • Team A & B Wed at 7 PM
  • Team C Fri at 5:30 PM 
  • Teams A & B Fri at 7 PM
  • Team A, B & C at 10:45 AM

A Message for Those Facing Schedule Challenges:

We are excited about this new addition to our school and believe it will enhance the overall experience for our students and their families. These changes are designed to improve the class experience for our students and ensure that each age group has an appropriate and convenient schedule. We appreciate your understanding and support as we work to make these adjustments.

We acknowledge that the new schedule, especially the shift in the Tot’s Class from 5:15 PM to 4:00 PM, may pose challenges for some families. If you find it difficult to adapt to the new time slot, we encourage you to consider our Afterschool program as an alternative option. This program offers a safe and structured environment for your child to continue their martial arts journey, even if the schedule doesn’t align perfectly with your family’s needs.

We understand that some of you may decide not to continue due to these changes. We genuinely appreciate the time your family has spent with us. Should you choose to explore other options, or if the schedule changes become more manageable for your family in the future, we’d be thrilled to welcome you back.
